New Smyrna Beach High School After-School & Extracurricular Programs include activities such as Theater Rehearsal, Competition Cheer, Girls Basketball, and Wrestling. Theater Rehearsal meets in the Auditorium, and Competition Cheer meets in the Cafe. On Tuesday, February 17, Theater Rehearsal is scheduled from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and Competition Cheer is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The program is connected with school leadership that includes PST Contact Deborah Croak for Graduation Assurance, PST Contact Geraldine Fuhr as TOA, and Principal Tim Merrick. New Smyrna Beach High School Girls Basketball has earned the Class 5A Girls Basketball State Championship, the Volusia/Flagler 5 Star Conference Championship, the FHSAA Class 5A District 9 Championship, and the FHSAA Class 5 Region 2 Championship. Two New Smyrna Beach High School wrestlers have won state championships in the 144-pound and 215-pound divisions. The school participates in a Volusia County Schools College Expo with over 40 in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities and offers a college expo with an interactive scavenger hunt. UF Virtual Dual Enrollment is available with fully online courses taught by UF faculty. For VCS athletic events, there is a bag policy that allows only specific types of bags and limits each person to one permitted bag.
